Shujaulhaq Siddiqui

Chairman, Trustee

 A businessman by profession, Siddiqui is a founding member of the organization who has lived in the High Barnet area and worked to establish a local Masjid. He has strived hard to help growing the community and serve the local Muslim population by creating provisions such as space for Jumma, Taraweeh, and children's madrassa. Over the past few years Siddiqui has focused on nurturing the community by serving the local Muslim population, he organised family dinners and Eid celebrations to bring the community closer together and is a founding member of the charity.


Mohamad Sabet

Secretary, Trustee

Mohamad has a diverse educational background being both a graduate of Islamic University and also a holder of a BSc Biochemistry degree from Westminster University in London, stands as one of the esteemed founding members of this organization. Through his and commitment, Mohamed has significantly contributed to the organization's growth and its meaningful impact on the community. He is also an active business owner and his experience as a hands on member of the team.


Zainul Katib


A retired Civil servant, having worked in Department for work and pension for over 15 years and also within legal firms over the years supporting clients at the Home Office, Heathrow Airport and detention centers. He has held leadership roles at various companies across multiple industry sectors with a focus on training and learning/development, and has experience working with all community groups speaking over 5 languages. Zainul has over 40 years experience working with charities and on a voluntary basis supporting disadvantaged member of the local community with legal, asylum, employment, language skills, finance training, and citizen advice, he has focused on facilitating participation of the community into wider society. He joined the Trustees several years ago as an active member supporting multiple areas across the charity, helping to ensure compliance with with best practices.


Dr. Pratik Sufi


Dr. Sufi (Trustee) Dr. Sufi holds the position of lead surgeon in the Bariatric and Benign Upper GI Service at Whittington Hospital and Spire Bushey Hospital. For nearly three decades, Dr. Sufi has been actively involved with IANL (Finchley Mosque), serving as a trustee for the majority of those years. As one of the founding members of IANL, he has also played a crucial role in founding NLCoM (North London Council of Mosques), which includes prominent mosques such as Palmers Green Mosque, Finchley Mosque, Hendon, and Wightman Road Mosque. Additionally, he is a founding member of the London Muslims Forum, which comprises significant mosques in North West London, including Edgware and Willesden Mosque. Dr. Sufi's extensive involvement underscores his commitment to community service and leadership within the Muslim community.


Syed Hassan Ali CFA FCCA

Treasurer, Trustee

A CFA Charterholder and Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant, Hassan boasts over 13 years of experience in Investment Banking, having worked with esteemed institutions such as Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, and currently serving as a Vice President at Nomura. Hassan has been actively engaged with the organization for the past few years since relocating to the area, playing a pivotal role in securing the first-ever masjid in High Barnet.

Welcome to High Barnet Islamic Centre, where our journey began four years ago with a shared vision of fostering community and supporting our fellow brothers and sisters. Our primary mission revolves around raising funds to build a new masjid, a sacred space that will serve as a hub for spiritual growth and community development.

Alhamdulillah, we pride ourselves on being a diverse and inclusive community that transcends cultural and professional boundaries. At High Barnet Islamic Centre, we believe in unity, and this unity is reflected in our team, a harmonious blend of doctors, CFA Charterholders, FCCA accountants, business owners, IT professionals, and university students. Each member brings a unique set of skills and experiences, dedicated to the common goal of contributing to the success of our Masjid.

Alhamdulillah, at High Barnet Islamic Centre, our team is a testament to the beauty of diversity and unity. Hailing from various corners of the globe, our members bring a rich tapestry of cultures and experiences to our shared mission. We are proud to have a team composed of individuals from different countries. This international collaboration allows us to leverage a variety of perspectives and skills, fostering a more holistic approach to our work in supporting the Masjid and the community. Our collective strength lies in this unity of hearts and backgrounds, creating a team that is not only dedicated but also reflective of the worldwide community we aim to serve. Together, we strive to build bridges, transcend borders, and make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Apart from the five trustees, we have a number of competent members on the committee which help us with the day-to-day running of the organisation. These members include ex-trustees from other masajids as well as individuals who come from families that have been involved in establishing masajids in other parts of London. List of members below;:
