Shujaulhaq Siddiqui

Chairman, Trustee

Shujaulhaq Siddiqui is a businessman and a Founder of the Darul-Noor regsitered charity operating HBIC. Having lived in High Barnet for many years, he saw the need for a local space to support the growing Muslim community and took the lead in making that vision a reality.

He has been closely involved in building the operations from the ground up, helping to establish regular Jummah and Taraweeh prayers, a children’s madrassa, and other community services. He also played an important role in fundraising and securing a permanent home for Darul Noor.

Shujaulhaq is passionate about bringing people together. He regularly organises Eid events, family gatherings, and community initiatives, helping to create a welcoming and united environment for everyone.

Mohamad Sabet

Secretary, Trustee

Mohamad has a diverse educational background being both a graduate of Islamic University and also a holder of a BSc Biochemistry degree from Westminster University in London, stands as one of the esteemed founding members of this organization.

 

Through his and commitment, Mohamed has significantly contributed to the organization's growth and its meaningful impact on the community. He is also an active business owner and his experience as a hands on member of the team.

Zainul Katib

Trustee

A retired Civil servant, having worked in Department for work and pension for over 15 years and also within legal firms over the years supporting clients at the Home Office, Heathrow Airport and detention centers. He has held leadership roles at various companies across multiple industry sectors with a focus on training and learning/development, and has experience working with all community groups speaking over 5 languages.  Zainul has over 40 years experience working with charities and on a voluntary basis supporting disadvantaged member of the local community with legal, asylum, employment, language skills, finance training, and citizen advice, he has focused on facilitating participation of the community into wider society. He joined the Trustees several years ago as an active member supporting multiple areas across the charity, helping to ensure compliance with with best practices.

Dr. Pratik Sufi

 Trustee

Dr. Sufi holds the position of lead surgeon in the Bariatric and Benign Upper GI Service at Whittington Hospital and Spire Bushey Hospital. For nearly three decades, Dr. Sufi has been actively involved with IANL (Finchley Masjid), serving as a trustee for the majority of those years. As one of the founding members of IANL, he has also played a crucial role in founding NLCoM (North London Council of Mosques), which includes prominent Masjids such as Palmers Green, Finchley, Hendon, and Wightman Road. Additionally, he is a founding member of the London Muslims Forum, which comprises significant mosques in North West London, including Edgware and Willesden Mosque.

Syed Hassan Ali CFA FCCA

Treasurer, Trustee

A CFA Charterholder and Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant, Hassan boasts over 13 years of experience in Investment Banking, having worked with esteemed institutions such as Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, and currently serving as a Vice President at Nomura.

 

Hassan has been actively engaged with the organization for the past few years since relocating to the area, playing a pivotal role in securing the first-ever Islamic Community Centre in High Barnet.
